Joshua Klein

Joshua Klein

Joshua Klein is 8 years old and in the 2nd grade. Joshua has been participating in the challenged children's rodeo for about 3 years now.

Joshua was diagnosed with multiple disabilities at birth, we were told he would never walk or talk.

After lots of occupational & physical therapy, pool therapy, hippotherapy, aba therapy, speech therapy, and leg braces, he now enjoys running through the rodeo arena and yelling "hi baby" to everyone.

He enjoys going to the rodeo, but little Joshua still has difficulty with new sounds, smells and places so we are always working with him on how to adapt to new and different environments.

We know that one day he will be able to walk into to the rodeo arena without any difficulties or fears. He loves all of the hugs he gets from the rodeo cowboys and cowgirls, and how welcome they make him feel. He has always had a special connection with horses and he truly loves riding them, touching the horses mane, and the smell. When he gets out of the car he smells the horses and it puts a big smile on his face!

Because of C.C.R. and what they do with these young children, we believe that Joshua has made lifelong friendships and will always have a desire to attend rodeos.  Before we were introduced to C.C.R., we had never attended a rodeo, now we feel like it's our family that we get to see when they come to town!
