Challenged Children’s Rodeo is a non - profit organization based in Norco, California. Our mission is to provide special needs children with the opportunity to participate in a unique and memorable experience wherein they partner with the special people of professional rodeo to go through a series of simulated rodeo events.
Each event includes the following simulated activities: Bull Riding, Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping and Steer Wrestling. There is also the chance to ride a real horse around the arena.
Each special “contestant” receives a t-shirt, a real cowboy hat, a bandanna, a lariat and an award for their “world class” success in that day’s rodeo. Each child also has their picture taken with their rodeo partner as a special remembrance of the day.
Participation in a Challenged Children’s Rodeo Event is completely free to all of our special kids. Our organization relies completely on the generous donations and/or sponsorships of organizations or individuals who want to give back to their community in a special way or who want to make life a little more special for these extraordinary kids.
Sponsorships are available for individual rodeos or as an ongoing or one time sponsor donation. We welcome a full sponsorship for a rodeo event which is $1500.00 or a partial sponsorship can be in any amount. Donations are, of course, always welcome in any amount.
On occasion, we are in a position to share our good fortune by contributing to other non -profit organizations whose work also contributes to the well being of children or our community. Beyond that, all donations received go entirely to the event. Personnel at our events is entirely made up of volunteers and members. We have no paid personnel at any event.
For any donations or sponsorships received, we will provide a thank you letter and our non-profit federal tax ID for tax purposes.
